Band Spectra — Postcards from the Underground

Band Spectra (aka Robert Manning) returns with new single ‘Stars Seem Eternal’, via AWAL, featuring acclaimed New York vocalist Angelica Allen, accompanied by visual animation created by Inés Labarrère and directed by Callum Henderson.

Following previous singles featuring The Anchoress & Olugbenga (Metronomy), Stars Seem Eternal is the third taste of Band Spectra’s forthcoming debut album. Incorporating feelings of escape, regrets, fears, and hope, Stars Seem Eternal is set against a dream pop soundscape. Commenting on the track Angelica Allen explains: "The star imagery stuck with me when writing. It’s about letting and allowing yourself to move forward unencumbered by regrets/fears/sadness/mistakes of the past. I pictured someone floating through the cosmos and tried to make that image more grounded/universal/relatable."
